At the end of each performance Santa will appear on stage and join the cast during the finale and the auditorium will really snow! The Cast will also be available for special meet and greets, where you can get photos, selfies in the special Cinderella themed Christmas selfie station or even get your poster signed!
There will also be a Muck Up Morning performance. It will be the final day and the penultimate show for the cast so they'll relax the rules a little bit! Cinderella will still go to the ball, the fairy god mother will still transform Cinderella from rags to riches and the ugly sisters will still be, well.. ugly! BUT what else happens, no one knows - the cast and crew are being given the opportunity to pull pranks on each other, ab lib like you've never seen ab lib before and there might even be the odd custard pie too! The crazy morning of family pantomime fun at its all time silliest, expect the unexpected! Expect surprise guests! End your year on a high at The Victoria Hall with this special performance of, Cinderella!
For the very young audience, Joseph Purdy Productions created a shorter version of the show aimed at younger children - who may be too young to sit through the whole show - on Friday 20th December at 2.00pm.
The show will still re-tell the magical tale of Cinderella although instead of 2 x 60 min acts and a 20 minute interval each act will be shorted to 30 mins - but still keeping all the magical and important elements of the show, making it more likely that younger children will be able to sit through the performance and still get to enjoy live theatre. There will also be a chance to meet the full cast at the end of performance in the special Cinderella Selfie station where you can chat to the cast and get photos and selfies!
There is even a Sing-a-long performance on Sunday 1st December at 6pm and Sunday 29th December at 11am!
During the sing-a-long live, the audience will become part of the show; a huge projection above the set will display the lyrics to all the songs in the show as they happen so you can sing a long with the cast. The show will feature a huge variety of songs from classics, to modern and everything in between. You'll be dancing in the isles, quite literally!
Joseph Purdy Productions are also offering Relaxed Performance on Saturday 28th December at 11am; perfect for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed performance environment including those with an autism spectrum condition or learning disability.
School Performances that are available throughout the run will include a free Pantomime workshop (at the school that booked) in November 2019 which involves learning about the history and pantomime, getting the opportunity to stage your own mini pantomime in groups and dress up!
A BSL Performance on Tuesday 17th December at 6.30pm is a signed performance aimed at people who are Deaf or Hearing Impaired.
And finally, the Pensioner / Care Home Special Performance on Thursday 5th December 2019 at 2pm is still the full same great show but with all loud bangs (pyrotechnics) removed. The theatre will be a more relaxed atmosphere and there will be an 'Afternoon Tea' offer - where a large selection of cakes, biscuits and treats will be on offer to enjoy during the interval aswell as a variety of hot and cold drinks.
